  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi all,

when installing a SSL certificate for a domain, when inserting the CA certificate (it is a bundle file made from three certificates, I receive the following error)

ERROR: PleskFatalException
SSLCertificate::check_signs() failed: openssl_x509_checkpurpose() failed:

CertificatePropertiesUIPointer->accessItemEdit(string 'POST', NULL null)

CertificatePropertiesUIPointer->accessItem(string 'POST', NULL null)
2: UIPointer.php:595
UIPointer->access(string 'POST')
3: plesk.php:52

System: Plesk 10.3, CentOS 5

Any suggestions as to how to get round this issue?

Best,

Max

We have already submitted request to developers regarding this problem. It is under their investigation now. I will update thread with results as soon as I receive it.

Try to replace file /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/SSLCertificate.php with attached. Patch is only for 10.3 version.

Hello Igor,

thanks for your reply. Uploading the certificate works fine now! I'll try out further and will report back if any other issues occur, but so far it worked without errors!

Best,

Max

yup, I can also confirm, this works, running 10.3 on a MediaTemple DV.

Just tried to install this fix, but now when i click the SSL certificated link, i just get an error saying :

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving https://ipaddy:8443/plesk/client@1/domain@4/certificate@5/properties/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

What comes to mind is are you sure this patch was for you? (CentOS 5, Plesk 10.3) and have you made sure it has the correct permissions / is in the right place?

Works!

Patched CentOS release 5.6 (Final) x86_64 running Plesk 10.3.1 using the fix provided and was able to upload CA Certificate.

Thank you.

I can also confirm this works. MediaTemple (dv) 4.0 running Plesk 10.3.0

Thank you, this also worked for me today, installing GeoTrust QuickSSL on Media Temple DV 4.0. Server was provisioned today so I guess latest version of DV 4.0 being deployed by MT still needs the patch.

This issue has been completely fixed in Plesk 10.4.4 version.

I am running Plesk Panel 10.3 and just attempted to apply this fix.

now when attempting to view my certificate in plesk so that I can apply my certificate... I get the following error:

PK Z>x\{nnSSLCertificate.phpThe file /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/plesk.php is part of Plesk 9 distribution. It cannot be run outside of Plesk 9 environment.
