  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi - yet another outgoing mail thread for you :)

Strange thing -- I set a domain to 50 emails per hour.. While setting it, I accidentally set it to 0 for a few minutes, realized my mistake and changed it back to 50.
saved, all is well.. I went back to check it, yes, still 50 for ALL items (for the domain, for the subscription, per email, etc) ..
But now I'm getting emails that

Please be informed,
following customers' domains, mailboxes and subscriptions are reached their limits for outgoing emails for the period:

From Aug/07/2023 03:27
To Aug/07/2023 05:27

E-posta Adresleri
[email protected], sınır saatte 0 mesaj

(I left it in Turkish perhaps that has to do with the bug). Anyway, it still thinks it's set to 0.. I tried changing all the boxes in the "Limit Outgoing mail" to "Server defaults" -- which is NOT zero obviously.. same thing.. I tried #plesk repair mail domain.com , but still the same..

It appears once you set it to 0 once, that sticks!

Any ideas what to do?

After writing about it, I think I found the cause -- once you set it to zero using the "Limit Outgoing Mail" interface, if you need to change it something non zero again, you need to click on that email address, go into ITS settings, and change it manually for EACH affected mail address!

I just did that - that email address was still at 0 despite setting to other values in the "Limit Outgoing Messages For domain.com" page.. (The https://plesk.kalfaoglu.net:8443/admin/outgoing-mail/edit-limit/type/subscription/id/NN page) page.

Still seems like a bug to me.

(4 minutes have elapsed it says, so here is the latest version of the above!)

I'll let the group know if the emails and mail rejections for that email address still continue despite setting it at email-addres level too.
