• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Hi there,

We had to recover from a nasty hack, and have had to repiece the box.

A WORD OF ADVICE: PSA Totalbackup does not backup the entire box (as we thought it did), it only seems to backup /var, databases and maybe /home - possibly a few other locations but not /etc which has got us into one hell of a mess :(((

Anyway, we have a problem where files uploaded from a website on the box now take ownership of apache:apache whereas they used to change depending the user:group for that website.

So, for instance in a list of images you can see first image with the old perms, and then one with apache:apache ones:

-rwxrwxr-x 1 owm_lis psaserv 9735 Aug 16 17:55 101_141 Russell 7.jpg
-rwxr-xr-x 1 apache apache 17027 Oct 11 14:39 102_Nen?fares.jpg

We need to tweak something so it returns to functioning as it used to, can anyone help us out here please?

Many thanks, Steve

Could this be anything to do with not having mod_suexec installed with apache?

Steve
