Pagespeed compatibility with Plesk 12

PME_Solution

New Pleskian
Our server setup is like this, wordpress, vtiger crm and ecommerse applications running on plesk 12 , with apache as backend server and nginx as proxy to serve static content.

Now plans are to optimize webpages with Google pagespeed module , As per google documentation, module installation on nginx server need to be build from source.

So my question: Is it recommended to install ngx_pagespeed module by building nginx from source on Plesk server?

Thanks for your advice

Thank you IgorG but this solution is only valid for Apache. If you serve static content through nginx then you need to install the pagespeed module for nginx... This is the reason of my question above... We find information for apache but for nginx it's another thing :) and of what I've read we would have to rebuild nginx from source to do so.

So my question: Is it recommended to install ngx_pagespeed module by building nginx from source on Plesk server?

Plesk sw-nginx package is packaged by Parallels and some patches are included I think. Not sure that nginx that was built from source will work correctly on Plesk.
