• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Parallel Plesk Panel specific requirement

New Pleskian
If I want to install Plesk Panel on my current virtual environment, can I install it directly onto VMware vCloud Automation Center? Must I first install other Parallels products first?

The requirements only state that it is compatible with VMware, but I am interested in specifically vCloud Automation Center since that is what I currently have.

I think that this possibility was not tested. You can easily install Plesk inside Virtual Machine but I'm not sure about vCloud Automation Center.

Thanks for answering, VMware is currently running my virtual environment but the next level of service that I want to deliver to my customers, cannot be supported by VMware. Parallels however, is exactly what I need. After further research, I found that Parallels Automation might be more suitable than only using Plesk Panel. Now my question is, can Parallels Automation be installed on top of vCLoud Automation Center? If it has to run next to vCAC (directly on the Hyper-visor) can it then at least still integrate with vCAC?
