Parallels Power Panel and FTP

Bluesurf

New Pleskian
The file manager within the Power Panel cannot handle the large file that I seek to upload to my server. I need to use a FTP/Filezilla. But, I cannot see how to configure the FTP client within the Parallels Power Panel. I tried to use my ssh password and root user to access the server with the FTP client, but the connection is refused. How can I set up the FTP permissions under the Power Panel?

Hi Bluesurf,

root users should never have the configured rights to use FTP. Instead, you should use SFTP/SCP.

If you insist on using FTP with the root user, you may follow the official documentation for ProFTPd:

http://www.proftpd.org/docs/directives/linked/config_ref_RootLogin.html ( External link, pls. inform me if the link goes dead, so I can provide another working link )
http://www.proftpd.org/docs/directives/linked/config_ref_Allow.html ( External link, pls. inform me if the link goes dead, so I can provide another working link )
