Issue PDF File error

When I access a pdf file on the website, I get a 500 error. The site was copied from another site and is identical. The url is correct and the file permissions are correct and the file exists. But it wont display. However the same file on the other website works fine. Any help? I have no idea. I compared both servers and they are identical. I saw a similar error marked as resolved but no mention of what was the resolution. Any help is appreciated.
 
What is the error message in error_log or proxy_error_log when you access the file?
