Permission Issue

Hi,

I did install the demo version of plesk on a windows 2003 server, I did create a client and a domain, I did check all of the boxs for the client permissions, now when I log to the control panel with the clients name and choose the domain and go to file manager I see a lock there, when I click on it, I can see all the existing permissions on the folders, but I am not able to change any of these permissions (All are gryed out), and that is why I can not upload any thing trough FTP client, I get access denied, I can just copy stuff in a map called privet. event when I log to the panel with admin account I can not change any of the folders or files permissions, on the top of the page says:
Information: You are not allowed to change permissions for this folder
. Onder file manager the options: Add new directory and Add new file both are grayed out.

is this has some thing to do with the fact that this is a demo version? I don't have this problem whit the same version on a linux box.

you can change permissions for files in the "httpdocs" folder only; since this is the root directory.

click on httpdocs folder. click on the lock corresponding to file/folder within httpdocs folder.

You will be able to change permissions for IUSR or IWPD user.

Also the website files have to be uploaded to httpdocs folder.

For changing the permissions of any other directories outside httpdocs folder(NOT recommended), you have to do it directly from the server.
