PHP 5.4 The best way?

Is there any way to remove php53 without removing plesk, and then install php54 without running into the problems of not providing "php"?
 
You can just upgrade your php5.3 to php5.4 without removing php5.3
It was discussed here a lot of times. Just use forum search engine.
