PHP filesystem issues

Greetings,

PHP is generating the following error,

PHP Warning: rename(/tmp/wrtsebghb,/var/www/vhosts/x.com/shell/Dropbox/tania/inscricao/sistema/temp/templates_c/504c02d6970c2ced4f4812be76d30e0ef2aae6c9.file.inscricao.tpl.html.php): Permission denied in /var/www/vhosts/x.com/shell/Dropbox/tania/inscricao/sistema/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_write_file.php on line 42

The directory where PHP is attempting to write has the following permissions - that look (more than) ok:
drwxrwxr-x 3 portalvivo psacln 28672 2012-01-02 22:40 templates_c

Can anyone help me with this issue?
