PHP not added to IIS when creating Subdomain

I have created a subdomain, but no php files will execute. The main domain works fine. I checked the IIS settings and the php extension did not get added to the Handler Mappings like it is for the main domain. What is the cause of this and how do I fix it? I know I can add it manually, but why did Plesk not do it?
