PHP now shows 'Component was not installed'

The PHP option (on the Domain setup page) for all my existing domains and any new domains I attempt to create now appears greyed out and has the message Component was not installed next to it. This was previously working just fine.

PHP still appears to be functioning on the existing domains however I can no longer control any PHP functions from within Plesk.

At the same time PHP in Plesk stopped functioning, the same issue began appearing with SSI. However I was able to resolve the SSI issue by following the workaround described in this post:
http://forum.sw-soft.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15146&highlight=asp

I have not yet found an equivalent solution for the PHP issue. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a known fix?

Thanks in advance!
