Issue Plesk 11.0.9 500 - Internal Server Error

jrwn

New Pleskian
Plesk 11.0.9 500 - Internal Server Error

Login to Plesk Console failture (https: // [ip]: 8443), the message "500 - Internal Server Error" apperars. The hosted in domains respond with "403 Forbidden".
With Putty, WinSCP, FTP I can connect. And amazing but true webmail.tdl works.

The error message in var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log
: (mod_fastcgi.c.977) bind failed for: unix:/usr/local/psa/tmp sw-engine.sock-0 Address already in use
: (mod_fastcgi.c.1171) [ERROR]: spawning fcgi failed.
: (mod_fastcgi.c.3644) all handlers for /index.php? on .php are down.

System-Infos:
[root@v3... ~]# cat /usr/local/psa/version
11.0.9 CentOS 6 110120608.16

[root@v3... ~]# cat /etc/issue
CentOS release 6.8 (Final)

[root@v3... ~]# MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -u admin psa
Your MySQL connection id is 1775

</patches>

rpm -q psa
psa-11.0.9-cos6.build110120608.16.x86_64

So far I have as Plesk kb 129226 treated without success
--> Plesk login page show 500 Internal Server Error (Permission denied)
# chown root:root /tmp
# chmod 1777 /tmp
# chown root:apache /usr/sbin/suexec
# chmod 4510 /usr/sbin/suexec
# chown root:sw-cp-server /usr/lib64/sw-cp-server/sw-suexec
# chmod 4710 /usr/lib64/sw-cp-server/sw-suexec

The connection to MySQL Plesk works:
MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -u admin psa
mysql> select * from misc;
shows a lot of data, which obviously come from Plesk.

About her assistant / a co-thinker, I would be delighted.
Which log files can I browse to the 500 error during login to Plesk Panel: 8443 to get on the track ...?
thank you in advance

Hi UFHH01,

I tried the following solution https://kb.plesk.com/126226 (set valid permissions for /tmp, ...) without success

Code:
sw-cp-server/error_log

2016-07-07 06:47:21: (mod_fastcgi.c.3644) all handlers for /index.php? on .php are down.

Can you help me please

Hi jrwn,

pls. consider to stop "/etc/init.d/sw-engine" and "/etc/init.d/sw-cp-server" manually and check afterwards, that no orphaned processes are running. If this is the case, pls. kill them manually and restart both services afterwards.

/etc/init.d/sw-engine stop
/etc/init.d/sw-cp-server stop

ps aux | grep sw-

( kill -9 PID-NUMMBER .... if there are orphaned sw-* processes )

/etc/init.d/sw-engine start
/etc/init.d/sw-cp-server start

Hello UFHH01,

the command /etc/init.d/sw-engine stop is not working (not found)
Code:
 /etc/init.d/sw-engine stop
-bash: /etc/init.d/sw-engine: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
So i stopped psa instead
Please have a look to the protokoll

Hi jrwn,

sorry... Plesk version 11.0.9 is not the actual recommended Plesk version right now and so I can't remember, if the init-script for sw-engine exists for 11.0.9.

Your pid "1340" => "psa-health-monitor-notification.php" => Health Monitor Notification Daemon ... can be stopped with "/etc/init.d/psa-health-monitor-notificationd stop"
Your pid "1352" => "sw-collectd" => Health Monitor Manager ... can be stopped with "/etc/init.d/sw-collectd stop"

Pls. check again after your restarts of all services your logs "/var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log" and "/var/log/sw-cp-server/sw-engine.log" for possible issues/errors/failures.

Pls. remember to BOOKMARK

Parallels Plesk Panel for Linux services logs and configuration files (Plesk 10.x and 11.0) ( KB - article 118774 )

Thanks again UFHH01 for your help. My problem persists.

Login to the Plesk Pannel (https: ip: 8443) continues to bring the error message "500 - Internal Server Error" and the "/ var / log / sw-cp-server / error_log" shows the same messages "spawning fcgi failed."
The user rights for the domain I was able to establish with
http://kb.plesk.com/en/6572
# sh recover_plesk_directories.sh example.de

Is there a way the same script 'recover_plesk_directories.sh' also to be used for plesk?
How then heat the domain for the call for plesk gerneral?
I would like to thank you very much if you could help me further...(is PN possible?)

Where can I find the required user rights, the plesk needs for running fcgi?
Because the problem could be there I think. And I find no solution...

If you have an idea let me know please.

jr

P.S.: I know Plesk 11.0.9 is not up to date. But it is the current situation...
Before upgrading to Version 12 I need to have a smart running System.

Hi jrwn,

You can answer the question by yourself, when you inspect the bash - script... you will see that it repairs DOMAIN - related paths and permissions.

I would like to thank you very much if you could help me further...(is PN possible?)
No, sorry... I only help with posts here in the forum, so that other people are able to search and review possible solutions/work-arounds for their own issues/problems.

Where can I find the required user rights, the plesk needs for running fcgi?
You already found the KB - article and how to solve related permission - issues:
So far I have as Plesk kb 129226 ( should be "126226" ) treated without success
--> Plesk login page show 500 Internal Server Error (Permission denied)
# chown root:root /tmp
# chmod 1777 /tmp
# chown root:apache /usr/sbin/suexec
# chmod 4510 /usr/sbin/suexec
# chown root:sw-cp-server /usr/lib64/sw-cp-server/sw-suexec
# chmod 4710 /usr/lib64/sw-cp-server/sw-suexec

Pls. consider to change your log - level, to get a more verbose output from your panel - log ( KB - article it is written for "11.5 and up", but should work for 11.0.9 as well ):

( If you experience issue, while following the suggestions, pls. explain what you did and where you need help with )

P.S.: I know Plesk 11.0.9 is not up to date. But it is the current situation...

I would "normally" reply, that you are correct, but upgrades to higher, major versions mostly result in complete de-installations of the product, before the new, major version is going to be installed. There are many, many changes from version 11.0.9 to 11.5 and again from 12.0.18 to 12.5. Plesk 12.5 for example comes as well with a bunch of new, improved repair - utilities, which investigates and repairs Plesk automatically.
Just make sure to completely backup your current databases and your vhosts - folders, so that possible restores can be done easily.

The connection to MySQL Plesk works:

Which log files can I browse to the 500 error during login to Plesk Panel: 8443 to get on the track ...?
thank you in advance
