  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New Pleskian
Hi there,

I need to install MySQL 5.6 in my Debian Jessie / Plesk box (with MySQL 5.5).

I found this procedure:

http://www.debiantutorials.com/install-mysql-server-5-6-debian-7-8/

Which appear to work ok with standard debian installations (with no plesk).

It looks that the new package has dependency conflicts with plesk-mysql-server package.

Anybody updated their MySQL install with Debian Jessie to MySQL 5.6?

With this procedure? Any other? Ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

The packages that have not original name like mysql-community-server and etc may be not supported.

You can install MariaDB 10.0 which is equivalent to MySQL 5.6
Do not forget to create backup before installation.
