• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk 12 and SQL Server Std2014

Nick_Bloodworth

New Pleskian
Hi
I have Plesk 12 and SQL 2014 Standard on my single VPS, and I'm having problems telling Plesk about the SQL Server.

I go to Tools and Settings in Plesk, Register new Database Server. I select SQL Server from the drop down menu, but can't connect to the SQL server.

I enter the IP address or localhost in the hostname field, and the sa username/password in the bottom boxes but it won't connect.

It says a network error has occured and the username/password is wrong.

I don't know it knows the password is wrong if it can't connect, but there you go.......

Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Nick
