• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk 7.5.4 and Joomla

Hi there!

As I am new to Plesk and related stuff I hope that you wont be to mad at me for my question(s):

I have ordered a VServer on which is Plesk 7.5.4 installed. The OS is Debian Sarge which is fine for me. However I tried to figure out how to install Joomla now. I couldn't find anything like FTP-Upload or so. Maybe I've blind or something. Where is the section in which I can upload Joomla and do I have to install it then? Can I proceed as like as I did it with XAMPP/LAMPP? Is there somewhere a nice HowTo for Newbies around?

Thanks for your help and patience
Ole
