  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

I have tried using the auto installer and run into an issue:

Install package selinux-policy-targeted
warning: /root/psa/PSA_8.0.1/update-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.110.noarch.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 443e1821
package selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.126 (which is newer than selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.110) is already installed
Error while execute command rpm -U /root/psa/PSA_8.0.1/update-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.110.noarch.rpm
ERROR: error while executing RPM
ERROR: Installation failed

I'm trying to use the Cent0S 4.2 installer since it looks like the closest cousin to what I need. I don't want to go back to CentOS 4.2.

Any ideas or experiences?

I have tried several thing, no working option.

I reverted to CentOS 4.2, and installed Plesk8. Work fine now.

enter this line before you install plesk, it will uninstall the offending package and plesk will reinstall one that works.

yum remove selinux-policy-targeted.noarch

still no joy

I removed the selinux package as noted above and still ran into problems with a perl-HTML version problem. Yum tells me it doesn't exist on my system, so I'm wondering if the Plesk version has problems with CentOS 4.3. Perhaps I'll try installing that module via yum first.

i ran into the same issue today installing plesk 8.0.1 on centos 4.3. i did a rpm -e selinux-policy-targeted and then started the install for plesk again. Plesk install then worked. Now my problem is that qmail (smtp) will not start from the web interface (i am using the generic key and have not upgraded it yet). i did not force a restart of the qmail service via a ssh connection:

error:

0: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/common_func.php3:172
psaerror(string 'Unable to make action: Unable to manage service by mailmng: mailmng: Service qmail failed to start System error 2: No such file or directory')
1: /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/server/restart_services.php:30

The hardware this is running on is a ML370 G1
