I recently started renting a dedicated server from Godaddy.
The server is preconfigured with Plesk 8.1 & Mysql 4
and I would like Mysql 5. Godaddy does not support
3rd party software (Plesk) so I am not sure what to do.
A Godaddy rep. said there is an update feature in
Plesk 8.1 that will update Mysql but I cannot find it.
I tried using Yum to update Mysql and again no luck.
I have tried following some other suggestions and
have crashed Plesk in the process several times.
Thank goodness Godaddy doesnt charge to reprovision
the server
I will gladly pay for help getting this setup properly.
Thanks for any help anyone may have.
