Plesk 8.2.1 / CentOS 5.0 update

Hello again,

I've CentOS 5.0 and Plesk 8.2.1.

Motherboard: "IDE interface: JMicron Technologies, Inc. Unknown device"
CentOS kernel: "kernel-2.6.18-8.el5."

when i use "yum update" it shows new updates but i'm afraid to update them because of Plesk. Can i complete below update process? I need this because my current kernel has not JMicron driver support. So i cannot enable DMA mode of my hdd, i need to add JMicron driver to my kernel. When i research about this, i learned there is JMicron driver in below kernel version. I'm waiting your answers, advices.. Thanks

You could just install the new kernel. That will leave your old one in place, so you can always switch back (edit grub.conf to chose wich kernel to boot to).

Plesk has IMAP issues with RHEL / CentOS 5.1 update, please check other threads here before updating your server to CentOS 5.1.

I have RHEL5.1 x86 with Plesk 8.2.1 fuly updated as today 11/25/2007.
Fully updated OS (just added to the skip list the mySQL and PostgreSQL)

Its working and no complains until now....

But I confess I have nightmares every night!

To echo the comfort level here, I automated my updates, they run every night.
