Plesk 8.6 to 9.0 (with VZPP) Problem

Hi all !

Yesterday i saw the Update for my Plesk from 8.6 to 9.0 and wanted to update my Plesk cause the new one looks really nice

weLL first of all i got a 1&1 VPS with Opensuse 10.3 & Plesk 8.6 and Virtuozzo Power Panel.

Okay i clicked all needed (for me) packages on the plesk control updater and clicked on install, then i received an email about the status.

weLL my Plesk was upgraded successfully to Plesk 9.0 (the license key was not valid at the first time but after 10 minutes it was automaticly regenerated to 9.0)

EXCEPT THIS:
On my Login to my PLESK (https://itcclan.de:8443) it still shows me the OLD Login Window and when i login to it i get the old Plesk 8.6 Menu on the left site and the icons can't be displayed.

BUT... when i go to this site -> https://itcclan.de:8443/login_up.php3 it comes the new Plesk 9.0.0 Login Window and when i login there i get the new menu and all is okay....

now when i am logging in to Virtuozzo Power Panel and look under "Installed Applications" i get this apps:
Applications Installed :
plesk8
plesk8-backup
plesk8-de-DE-locale
plesk8-es-ES-locale
plesk8-fr-FR-locale
plesk8-it-IT-locale
plesk8-vault
post-install
zypper


so that means that the Login Page comes from VZPP and this one still got the old plesk 8.6 apps...how can i update my VZPP to 9.0 too ?

Update path: 8.6 -> 9.0.0 - > 9.0.1

Probleme came up from 8.6 to 9.0.0

Yes you are right. In Virtuozzo containers, the Plesk login is proxied by the VZ service container, so even if you shut down plesk, you will still the login box.

You need to ask your service provider for help. Specifically if they can disable offline management for port 8443 only. Note that if they turn it off completly then you will not be able to use VZPP aswell.

Due this Problem i wanted to edit my index.php file on my root after this i crashed the decryption of ZEND or whatever it was i think it was always Internal Server Error 500 and i had only ONE chance and that was to restore my Server over VZPP from a backup of one day ago.

so that means the VZPP is a really great Tool but u said i have to ask my ISP, why have some sites still the VZPP and Plesk 9.0.0 with the new Login at the start page -> https://www.1st-services.de:8443 ? this site is just an example.

If it really don't work without VZPP i just have to relink all my costumers just to login_up.php3 or just www.mydomain.com/plesk redirect ^^
