• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk 8.6 to 9.5 update question

New Pleskian
Plesk 8.6, CentOS 5.6

Hi,

I'm using plesk 8.6 at the moment and i want to update my panel to 9.x. I searched the forum for related situations but couldn't find anything. Can i update 8.6 t 9.x without any problem? Or is there some points i should be careful?

Thank you,

I seem to remember that when I did this on several dozen machines about 9 out of every 10 would be fine, and the other 1 would have some issue that required human fixing. Each time it was something different. If you have the option make a backup first and test it on a different box to see how long it will take, customer impact, etc.
