Plesk backup error: Can't find private key in database

Hello,

My backup script is failing with the errors below while running the built-in backup utility
pleskbackup

backup_sign: Can't find private key in database:
backup_sign: Can't get server's private key
23:03:11 ERROR Failed to create MIME message Finished cm backup at : Sun Oct 14 01:03:14 SAST 2007

The backup files are created with a reasonable file size, but on attempting map creation or restore, I get the following error message:

[root@srv backup]# /usr/local/psa/bin/pleskrestore --create-map
/backup/2007010023 -map fullservermap.txt Backup file is corrupted

Please help.
