• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk Backup fails to store Smartermail Stat files

Be aware, Plesk Backup does not store Smartmail stats associated with mail, for example bandwidth or HDD space for each domain.

The reports feature of Smartermail will fail to display any data after a Plesk Restore.

This is because Plesk Backup does not store any of the SM .stats files! :( These can be found in: C:\SmarterMail\Domains\<domainname>\Stats and C:\SmarterMail\Domains\<domainname>

In fact Plesk does not store any files in the SmarterMail domain root folder as it expects to rebuild them. As a consequence the domain.cfg file is not backed up, and therefore reports for HDD space consumed per domain cannot be compiled post restore!

I have raised this with Plesk support in which I received a reply, however the point was obfuscated (avoided).

Let's hope the integration of SmarterMail v5 is improved!
