Hello!
First of all: sorry, my english are not so good.
Has anyone of you ever had the problem that a backup restore was aborted with a syntax error?
I want to do a distribution update from Ubuntu 18.4 LTS to Ubuntu 20.4 LTS. To do this, I go to the backup manager in Plesk under Ubuntu 18.4 and generate a full backup. I check the backup on the CLI with
I get the message: "The backup file is valid."
I store the backup files in a separate folder on the server, that after an dist update is available again.
After the dist update I copy the backup files back to the backup folder of plesk. I can find it in the backup manager, but when I try to open and restore it, I get a syntax error. If I check the backup again in CLI I will get the same error.
I've done it all over again 4 times, but it doesn't make a difference.
Note: I have set backup encryption with my own password in the settings.
