Plesk control panel 8.x license On 9.x

We have plesk control panel 8.x license key , Our admin installed plesk control panel 9.2 .

Will the license key of 8.x work on 9.x? Is the upgrade of license key from 8.x to 9.x free of charge?

Please take a look at the following Knowledge Base article. Despite the fact it concerns upgrade from 7.5 to 8.x, its statements are absolutely applicable to any Plesk upgrade.

I have upgraded my Plesk 7.5 Reloaded server to Plesk 8.x. Do I need to purchase a special license key for Plesk 8.x?
