  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk Errors

Brandon Minor

New Pleskian
Being a Plesk Developer User I have noticed a few things I would like to bring to everyone's attention:

1. The MSSQL 2008 instance does not have the nice "Local MSSQL Server" name, instead it uses .\MSSQLSERVER2008.
2. The MSSQL 2008 Server does not accept connections on port 1433 by default, I don't know if this is a security measure or just a mishap in the configuration file.
3. The ColdFusion DSN icon under "Advanced Options" under Websites & Domain is missing the icon name cold-fusion_16.gif. I corrected this by using a CF8 icon from online.

Please let me know if you see anymore errors with the Plesk 10.0.1 release.
