Issue Plesk Firewall does not add changes to zone (CloudLinux)

DavidDV

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
CloudLinux 8.9
Plesk version and microupdate number
Versión 18.0.61 #5
I am using Plesk firewall extension to open some ports on my CloudLinux 8 server but I am unable to open certain ports because the Plesk firewall interface does not add the rule to firewalld:

The operating system has no modifications and I am not using security extensions like Imunify360. I have tried reinstalling plesk firewall, rebooting, etc.

Any ideas?

Firewalld is only supported by Plesk for RHEL 7 based systems. On all other OSes (including Cloudlinux 8) the Plesk firewall uses iptables.

Do I have to change anything in the operating system to stop using firewalld? I haven't touched anything, the system came like that, shouldn't Plesk use iptables and open the port? Although in the Plesk interface it says it is open, it really isn't.

Yes, you can use the commands posted by @Bitpalast to stop and disable firewalld.

It does. But firewalld is (as far as I can tell) blocking the port, which is why it is better to get rid of firewalld.
