• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Issue Plesk Monitoring Disk Threshold Alerts Wrong

nmdpa3

Regular Pleskian
Server operating system version
Windows Server 2022
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.80 #6
The monitoring threshold on Windows servers is generating disk usage alerts even when actual disk utilization is well below the configured threshold.

For example, the threshold is set to 95%, but alerts are being triggered when disk usage is only around 88%.

This was an issue a month or so ago that I thought had been addressed, but it appears to still be occurring. It’s also possible that a recent update has reintroduced the problem.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior on Windows servers?

Hi, @nmdpa3 . I can't locate any other cases for similar behavior reported to our support. I will attempt to replicate the issue and get back to you. In the meantime, could you please confirm the Monitoring extension version? Thanks in advance.

Also, oddly, this only occurs if the space threshold is set to %. If I change it to alert on say 10GB of disk space remaining, the false alerts stop.

Thank you for the confirmation, @nmdpa3 . I have been monitoring a test server for couple of days now and tried different thresholds/usage amount. Unfortunately, I was unable to replicate the issue. Regardless of how close to the threshold the usage was, I only got the notification once the same was hit. Could you please provide a screenshot of the Disk utilization graph?

Thanks for taking a look. We haven't been able to reproduce the issue on any of our other Windows/Plesk servers either, so for now we've changed this particular server to monitor available disk space using GB rather than a percentage-based threshold.
