Resolved Plesk Onyx 17.0.17 to 17.5.3 update problem

Hello,

I have had the same problem.

After a quick investigation, it appears that the problem is related to a kernel failure, caused by the aa-status command that is invoked from plesk-dovecot-imap-driver.postinst
The call hangs by accessing /sys/kernel/security/apparmor/profiles (apparmor configuration)

In my case the solution has been to update the system (apt-get update / apt-get upgrade / apt-get dist-upgrade).

The update has also been blocked by the same problem with aa-status. A reboot has been necessary during the update.

To complete the process you have to process the configurations pendings: dpkg --configure -a

Now the system is working ok again.
