  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

I installed Plesk 8.4 on a brand new server yesterday and everything appeared to be working just fine. When I got in this morning and went to login, the login box came up immediately but after logging in it takes approx 3-4 minutes to go from page to page. This is still a clean box, no accounts have been added. Running on windows 2003 server. anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

What is the server hardware?

Do you see any warnings/erros in the event logs?

have you scanned server for viruses?

If You run a antivirus product like F-PROT this can happen.

Try to disable any such software one by one and test inbetween to see if the disabled software caused the problem..

F-Prot does not slow your server down by this amount, I know this as I have it running on v8.3. However to increase Plesk CP response you could think about adding an exclusion to the Plesk install folder, in fact you could probably drill down further and locate the folder slowing things down - probably image files for the CP icons.

This is what we have done as it provides a good compromise - viri protection on all domains and upload space and the server in general, plus speedier CP response.

Lea
