  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Plesk setup as email smarthost

bit101

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
ubuntu 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.55
Hi together,

is it possible to setup Plesk as email smarthost?

What we want is the follow:
For incoming Emails: Email -> (incoming email) -> Plesk as smarthost -> (forwarding via port 25 starttls/ssl) -> Exchange Email Server or another
For outgoing Emails: Exchange Email Server -> (Sending Email) -> Plesk Smarthost -> Recipient Email Server

So if possible the Plesk Smarthost shall filter the Emal for spam and virus.

Anyone know if it is possible and if yes how.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi,

not thats not the same and not what i mean. On this thread you worte is explain how to set an external smarthost for outgoing emails.

What i described is how to setup Plesk as a Smarthost himself. With other words Plesk is the Smarthost.
Is this possible?
