• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk Startup Error

Hi,

We are running Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and installed Plesk 6.5. Now it installs ok, but after a reboot, half of the services don't start, and I get the following error message: " Unknown(): Unable to initialize module 'psasem' " . To see if the port 8443 is running I 'telnet localhost 8443' and it connects ok, but I cannot access the Web Interface Control Panel, probably due to some of the services failing to start.

I try to uninstall Plesk so I can start fresh, and I can't see "Plesk" in the Add/Remove Programs list.

It seems weird to me, and i have no more ideas on how to get it up and running.

Has anyone experienced this problem before and how can it be fixed??

Regards,
Matthew Byrne
