• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

PLESK upgrade 8.x to 10.x - no webserver

I upgraded from 8.4 to 10.x thinking I needed to do that for a reported security problem where 8.x had an exposure to hackers grabbing passwords in clear text. I think that was recommended in the virus fix for runforestrun virus.

Anyway, much to my surprise, the whole paradigm changed from clients/domains to what it is now.

I tried transitioning to the new format, did activates on the subscriptions, the domains, anything else I could find, and I still cannot get my domains to come up as webservers.

The preview works fine for the domains (4 of them), so I know all the files are there, but when I try to access the domains via URL, I get "You see this page because there is no Web site at this address." messages.

I am running Linux 2.6.18.

Is there some simple setting I have to make?

I have 4 domains/subscriptions associated with subscriber My Domains. I've tried a combination of Custom and Unlimited service plans.

So, what was a simple (I thought) upgrade to plug a security hole has turned into a total outage for 4 domains.

Can someone help me? PLEASE!

Thanks to PLESK Support

This particular problem was nothing like what I thought it was.

It was resolved by reading and following the instructions in http://kb.parallels.com/9289

Thanks to the PLESK engineer for resolving the issue....I wonder if I still have to pay for that? :p
