• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

I see this question a lot on different hosting forums with Plesk.

To determine how many visitors a website can handle with 32 TB (terabytes) of monthly traffic, we need to consider several factors:
  1. Average page size: The size of each page on the website.
  2. Average number of page views per visitor: How many pages each visitor typically views during their session.
  3. Bandwidth usage per page view: The amount of data transferred for each page view.
Once we have this information, we can calculate the total bandwidth consumed by one visitor and then divide the total monthly traffic (32 TB) by this amount to estimate the maximum number of visitors the website can handle.

For example, if the average page size is 2 MB, the average number of page views per visitor is 5, and the bandwidth usage per page view is 0.2 MB, then:

Bandwidth per visitor = Average page size * Average number of page views per visitor = 2 MB * 5 = 10 MB

To convert MB to TB, we divide by 1024^3 (1 TB = 1024^4 MB):

Bandwidth per visitor (TB) = 10 MB / (1024^3) ≈ 9.5367e-6 TB

Now, we can calculate the maximum number of visitors:

Max visitors = Total monthly traffic / Bandwidth per visitor (TB) = 32 TB / 9.5367e-6 TB ≈ 3.356e12 visitors

So, with 32 TB of monthly traffic and the given assumptions, the website could potentially handle approximately 3.356 trillion visitors per month. However, keep in mind that this is a simplified calculation, and real-world factors such as server capacity, network infrastructure, and website optimization will also impact the actual number of visitors the website can handle.
