• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MySQL dying repeatedly

I'm getting these messages all the time....

ERROR: PleskMainDBException
MySQL query failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

Additionally, an exception has occurred while trying to report this error: PleskMainDBException
MySQL query failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

or many similar, basically keeps killing mysql, I'm running 4.1 on FC4 and the whole server is fresh, only 3 days old.

Also possibly related is httpd keeps dying as well, to the point where I have to stop it to try anything in the CP, as soon as I bring httpd back up plesk just sits there and usually ends up with one of the above messages or any number of variations, always resulting in a dead mysql.

Any ideas, similar ?

I've since discovered that this issue is actually a MySQL documented bug, that was fixed in the 4.1.17 release and I'm on 4.1.16 however there are no FC4 binaries for this release and I'm still working on getting it updated.
