  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

TITLE:
PMM not stopping when DB connection interrupted during backup
PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE:
Onyx 17.8 latest MU
CentOS 7.6
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
During a scheduled backup process the database server has stopped. The stop is not related to the backup. The database server was restarted, all databases accessible. But the stopped database server lead to a situation where the PMM process(es) keep running endlessly without proceeding with the backup. The PMM process(es) needed to be killed (-9) to stop the the backup process, create the backup error in the GUI and being able to restart the backup process.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Start a scheduled backup process. While the backup is running, stop the database server. Wait e.g. for 30 minutes, then restart the database server.
ACTUAL RESULT:
Backup will sit in the process list doing nothing until it is killed.
EXPECTED RESULT:
Either backup process should quit with an error messages after a timeout or it should recover and continue with the backup once the database server is accessible again.
