  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

[PPP-17887] Upgrade Ioncube on PHP Plesk 5.6

Nosxxx

New Pleskian
How do i properly upgrade Ioncube on PHP Plesk 5.6?
If i update ioncube_loader_lin_5.6.so it will be updated on every Plesk PHP update. May Plesk will update Ioncube on the next PHP Release ?

Could you please clarify a little bit - why you need this update? What sort of benefits do you expect?

Currently IonCube 4.7.2 is default by Plesks PHP Packages. (plesk-php56-ioncube-loader)
For some reasons some software needs 5.xx because its encoded by the ionCube version 9 PHP Encoder. (The Vendor PHP Packages have an actual Ioncube Loader - php5-ioncube-loader)

Ok. We consider it as feature request for the further implementation.

Corresponding feature request PPP-17887 has been submitted for the further implementation.
