what is the output when you run "yum update" manually?

During the manual update I had an error regarding "nothing provides jasper-devel needed by ImageMagick-devel-6.9.10.86-1.el8.x86_64"

but after activating powertools "yum config-manager --set-enabled powertools" the problem was also eliminated.

Hi,
I have same issue on Plesk Obsidian 18.0.39 and AlmaLinux 8.5 (Arctic Sphynx).
I ran yum update manually. Some updates were completed without problem.
But, when I re-run

# plesk sbin pum --list --repo-info --json

I get the same error. What should I do ?

# plesk sbin pum --list --repo-info --json

Hi,
same issue.
In plesk panel shows Updates for 184 packages are available.
When run yum update, it seems everything is updated.

please check that powertools repository is available and emabled at your instance

right now, the only issue seem to be the warning that say " XXX package avilable"

yum update have nothing to update

the server say its almalinux 8.5 already

I had opened a ticket with Plesk this morning on this. We had converted a CentOS 8 to AlmaLinux on Friday and get the error daily since then, though I can install updates via yum just fine, and in fact installed two today just to prove it worked.

re: the number of updates not being correct, 1) this Plesk shows its last check for updates was Friday morning, so that's the last info it has, and 2) there's been a long standing bug where after you install updates (at least, via yum command line), Plesk will continue to send the email reminder of the pending updates for a while afterwards. We get the reminder weekly so I think it's a couple weeks give or take. I had reported that bug early this year I think it was...don't recall exactly, offhand.

Hi all

Plesk support just confirmed:
We have already been reported about this issue on AlmaLinux 8.5 - we're working on it to see what might be causing it and will update you as soon as possible.

to address this problem we are going to release Plesk 18.0.39.2 hotfix today (2021-11-18)

thank your for you patience.
