Resolved preventing unwanted access to FTP

In the logs I see attempts from Indonesia to my proftpd server.
My country and customers is as far away from Indonesia as can be.
How can I prevent such attempts from even taking place?

SOLVED: I wrote some tool that uses the IP range generator found on the net, fed it to hosts.deny.
