problem changing IP for domain

I want to change the IP address for the main domain on my server to a dedicated IP.
When I change the IP and go to the domain in a browser it no longer points to
/var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/
It now points to /var/www/vhosts/default/htdocs/

How can I change the IP and keep it pointing to the correct directory?
