Problem mit mysql bei der installation von plesk 8.1 über apt-get

hi,
bei der installation von Plesk 8.1 über apt-get auf einem Host Europe Debian Vserver kam folgender Fehler:

===> Installing psa database
Trying to check psa database… Trying to find psa database…
Trying to connect with admin account… not connected
Trying to connect as root with empty password… not connected
Cannot connect to mysql database.
Normally, for psa installation mysql administrator must be
‘root’ without any password. Fix problem and try again.

ERROR while trying to connect to mysql database
Check the error reason(see log file: /tmp/psa_8.1.0_debian3.1.build81061129.22_installing.log), fix and try again

Aborting…

dpkg: error processing psa (–configure):

wäre nett, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte

versuchst du eine neuinstallation oder ein update ?

wenn es eine neusinstallation ist, ist wohl mehr als das grundsystem vorhanden und ich vermute mal das es ein passwort beim mysql root hat ...

ist eine neuinstallation... wie kann ich denn rausfinden ob mysql ein pw hat und ggf. löschen?

edit: es ist anscheinend standartmäßig apache, php und mysql installiert
