  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Problem with sql database

markit

New Pleskian
Hi all

I left my own server a few weeks without care, my updates are manual because I know updates can be problematic sometimes. Nothing was changed, so I cannot understand why the following message appears instead of my plesk page:

ERROR: PleskFatalException: Unable to connect to database: mysql_connect(): Connection refused (auth.php:142)

also on my website the following message appears to me:

Error establishing a database connection

What should I do?

My OS is centos, so I'm a bit green on centos commands since I normally use ubuntu, could you guide me through putty?

Thank you.

Hi,

login via PuTTy and execute the following command:
# /etc/init.d/mysqld restart

Prior to executing this command, could you please execute the following command and paste the output here?
# tail -n 25 /var/log/mysqld.log

Thanks,
Kristian
