• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

problems with form-to-email script: "does not like recipient"

New Pleskian
I'm having a problem on a domain hosting on a VPS under Parallels Plesk 11.0.9 and would be grateful for any advice. My apologies in advance if I miss anything obvious - I don't know my way around the Plesk Panel as well as I might...

I have a domain which is hosted in Plesk that used to have the mail service enabled. However, I've just moved it to Google Apps, so I updated the DNS in my domain management control panel (DNS is switched off in this Plesk domain) and switched off the mail service in Plesk. Emails sent externally to the client are working fine.

Things go wrong, however, with a form-to-email script that processes the enquiry form on one of the pages of this fairly simple html/css site. When I submit the form I get the following bounce:

[email protected]>:
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts; no valid cert for gatewaying (#5.7.1)
Giving up on XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

The IP address is my VPS, so this is being rejected locally.

What's confusing is that exactly the same form-to-email script is in use on another domain on the same VPS whose mail is also handled by Google Apps, and it's working fine. So I don't think it's a server-wide issue. I've checked the rcpthosts file and the problem domain isn't listed in there, but it shouldn't be - mail is being handled by Google Apps

I also tried deleting the domain and subscription entirely and recreating it, but the problem resurfaces.

Can anyone suggest what might be going on and how I can fix it?

Many thanks in advance.
