• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

problems with restricted directorys

Hey there,

i installed plesk a few days ago on my rootserver. well, everything works pretty will, except for one thing: password protected directorys. i just created a password-protection for "/diverse/locked" for domain xxxxxx.de.

But when I open the website the browser just doesn't ask for a password and the page is shown.

kronos:/var/www/vhosts/xxxxxx.de/diverse/locked# ls -a
. .. css favicon.ico img index.html test

no htaccess - strange, isn't it?

btw: Panel-Version 10.1.1

can anybody help?

thanks

I have this problem as well.. browsers are not requesting login information and just serve up the directory contents... have you solved this?
