• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hi - yesterday a Update for - monit 6.0.0-1.el8 vom Repository epel was installed on my plesk 19.0.79 Update 4 on a almalinux 8.10 server. Since that update the watchdog module is not working anymore. Please can you help? I cant start the watchdog service.

i, when i want to start watchdog the attached failure occurs. At the moment i see it is not related to the computer system (almalinux, rocky linux). Always the same. After the update from yesterday monit not works further. On not updated server it works without a problem. Where can i find more logs about this?WATCHDOG.jpg

I'm seeing the same. Command line interactions with monit suggest it's fine. For example, if I take the auth line from /etc/monitrc:

set mmonit https://monit:[email protected]:2912/

and hit it with curl, it work fine. All the normal monit commands succeed. Plesk can no longer interact with it and believes it is not running.

Thanks for the clarification. Our team identified that the root cause of the issue is Monit 6 version. The fix is implemented in Watchdog extension 3.1.10 version. The extension is published already. You should be able to update the extension following these instructions. Please let us know if you encounter any further issues after the update.
