Process gl_dbcleaner

Hi,

Does someone knows what this process does: gl_dbcleaner?
My server becomes very slow, from 8h17AM to 9h35AM.
I see this process in the list of running processes, but i dont know what he does.

I have done some troubleshooting this morning and i found out that the responsable for the problem es the process gl_dbclenear.
This process it execute from the script /opt/psa/admin/plib/DailyMaintenance/script.php.
The script is called by the script /etc/cron.daily/50plesk.daily.

This is strange because in crintab the line for the daily cronjob is:
25 6 * * * root test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily )
But it begins only at 8h AM or more (today was at 8h46AM).

I think the problem is that the gl_dbcleaner process call the process executable to perform whatever it meant to do. Next, in top, appears 4 process executable and consume all the 4 CPUs. And the machine just stops working.
Killing the gl_dbcleaner process resolves immediately the problem, but i dont know if this brings other problems.

Hi,

I have done the requested in the hotfix but the problem remains.
I disabled greylist at server wide.
Changed the cron date to 3h30mAM but the problem remains.
At 6h30AM the server hangs until 7hAM, returning to normal operations.

Another problem i'm facing is that when i had greylist activated i received hundreds of emails with the error:
"451 4.3.0 Error: queue file write error"
Disabling greylist causes less errors but i continue to receive some, 3 or 4 per hour.
I updated to plesk 9.2.3 in the process of resolving the errors, but this problems still persist.

Can someone help me please?

Another thing, how can i affinity the gl_dbcleaner and its child's process to one cpu?

Hi,

Can someone please give a hint to resolve my problem.
I have cleaned all handlers except the ones in the tmfs partitions and reconfigured all mailboxes.

Can the problem be related to some memory issues?

Please gave me a hint to solve this mistery.
