  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello All,

I am new here and am having a few problems with my server running plesk 8.6 i have finally managed to get the ftp up and running but now it wont resolve to ftp.myhostname.com do i need to set up a wildcard to point ftp.myhostname.com to the required place?

I have been a long time cpanel user so all of the functions and setup in plesk is new to me.

Do you mean that going to ftp.domain.com in your ftp client doesnt work?
Did you setup ftp.domain.com as a host record in dns so it can resolve?

can you just go to domain.com in ftp client instead?
