ProFtpd update to include FTP/SSL

Hi,

We have been trying to use FTPS (aka FTP/SSL) connections for improved security and are unable to connect using FileZilla (probably the most popular FTP client).

This appears to be because the version of proftpd which ships with Plesk is based upon 1.3.1 and there is a known bug in proftpd before 1.3.2rc2.

It would be really helpful if Plesk were to ship with an updated version of proftpd soon.

Thanks

John

I spent some time yesterday trying to get the version of proftpd shipped with Plesk 9.0.1 to work with filezilla without any luck either. Here is hoping we get an upgrade with the next update.

Took your notes, theres, and my own testing.. and viola:

Put together an update for psa-proftpd to version 1.3.2, figured out you had to set Filezilla to use explicit TLS with this version.

If you've already got the atomic archive set up you can upgrade to psa-proftpd with:

yum --enablerepo=atomic-testing upgrade psa-proftpd

Let me know how it works out, and it will get published to [atomic]

And thanks for the inspiration on this one!
