psabackup simple question (hopefully :-))

I haven't used psabackup for years - mainly because for memory it stopped every site as it backed it up & then restarted it afterwards.

What i would like to know is someone using this method:

/plesk_installation_directory/bin/pleskbackup clients <backup file name>

for PSA 8.6, and is the backup performed without any interruption to services?
