• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Qmail and Postfix Issues

Jeff Knapp

New Pleskian
I am running 10.4.4 MU#20 on CentOS 5.

I was previously using Qmail, but had problems with the queue holding outgoing emails for 1-4 hours, sometimes even longer. Some messages would send right away, but the majority would get deferred and hold for long periods of time.

Decided to switch to Postfix. Everything appears to be working properly, but I am getting complaints about rejected emails. The rejection only happens from external email addresses and only when the message is a forward from another email. I have SPF and domain keys turned off, but spam and antivirus running. If I turn off all email protection, the messages come through, but this isn't a fix as I need the spam filtering. I am also using zen.spamhause.org blacklist.

Any ideas?

Jeff
